Libby Langdon is currently the Interior Designer and Host of the new FOX Makeover TV show, Design Invasion. The show is a joint production between FOX and Banyan Productions (Trading Spaces) and premiered on September 13th. Libby begins each episode at 7:30 AM by knocking on someone's door who has no idea she's coming, she kicks them out of their home and entirely makes over a room in their house in 10 hours! The "target" comes back later that day and the completely transformed room is revealed to them. Design Invasion airs everyday on FOX.As an actress, Libby has appeared in several films. She was in the recent release The Door in the Floor starring Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger. Last summer she finished production on a film called Corn and last fall wrapped a film in Texas called When Zachary Beaver Came to Town with Jonathan Lipnicki. She also stars opposite Al Pacino in the much anticipated Chinese Coffee. Libby also appeared in Shallow Hal with Gwyneth Paltrow and in Sidewalks of New York with Ed Burns. Her other film credits include Kingpin with Woody Harrelson, Outside Providence as Alec Baldwin's wife, Say You'll Be Mine with Gil Bellows and Nicky Katt, and the critically acclaimed Federal Hill. Libby has appeared on television in The Practice, Law and Order: SVU and on NBC's Another World as the villanous "Kay". She has also been a guest on The Food Network in Bobby Flay's Hot Off The Grill and The Robin Leach Cooking Show with Bill Boggs.Libby has also produced films. She was a producer on A Shot at Glory starring Robert Duvall and Michael Keaton, Outside Providence, Say You'll Be Mine and Federal Hill, all in which she also starred.Libby has just completed the interior design of the new restaurant in New York City called La Masseria. Working closely with the owners, she worked on all design aspects of the restaurant, she did everything from working with the architect and the builders to even designing the logo. She achieved the Italian farmhouse feel by incorporating stone, distressed wood and textured plaster walls in her design. She acessorized with authentic Italian platters, black and white photographs and aged farm tools. The look is authentic masseria, rustic yet warm and inviting.Libby also loves to cook, her recipes have appeared in Bon Apetit magazine and one of her recipes was featured on the cover of the 1994 July issue. She has also appeared in Food and Wine magazine. Her home in Long Island was photographed for Mary Emmerling's book called Romantic Country. Living In New York City and Long Island Libby has cooked and entertained some of the top chef's and restauranteurs in New York City, including Charlie Palmer (Aureole), Bobby Flay (Mesa Grill), Jimmy Bradley (The Red Cat), Gerry Hayden (Amuse) and Claudia Fleming (Gramercy Tavern). She has also planned and executed numerous events and parties, ranging from a film premiere for 500 guests in Los Angeles to an Wedding in Long Island, and she does it all with style and ease.
