Amanda Burton was born and raised in a Protestant area of Londonderry, Northern Ireland, she is the youngest of four girls. Amanda has since become one of Britain's most respected and admired actresses often taking on leading strong roles in dramas. She is the mother of two grown up daughters Phoebe (b. 1989) and Brid (b. 1991).
