Lee Chen was born as Li Hui in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia of China. She toured with Chairman Mao's Propaganda Performance Troupe through out Inner Mongolia region when she was a young girl. Later she came to the U.S.to earn a MA in Education and a MFA in Theatre. She wrote and performed her original one woman show "Life Flies" directed by Joyce Lu in Honolulu and Los Angeles. She is married to 3D artist Julius Norman and has dedicated last nine years raising her two sons and teaching English to new immigrants.
