Jack's appearance on the show doesn't seem to be a good idea, because Jack blows up all his lines and also doesn't know how to act in front of a camera.

Open with Liz telling the staff she's broken up with Carol. She is holding a cat and wearing a fanny pack and she tells them "I've given up." She's had three opportunities at love and is now turning full spinster.Jack takes Liz aside and she adds even more fuel to the fire: She's bought a cemetery plot and is reading "Murder on the Orient Express" with the senior center book club. He wants to help but Avery is out of town for work and Jack has baby Liddy to himself. He's preparing for a huge meeting as NBC works out licensing right with Kabletown and has to run home to pay his baby nurse.Pete tells Frank he used to be a member of the band Loverboy. During the conversation Frank says "it's never too late" and that gets the two working on a song, "It's Never Too Late for Now." They seem to have formed a band. When Jack writes out the check to Trinidadian baby nurse Sherry he realizes it's for the same amount even though she is only working half the hours. She says that "it's the only rate" and this gets Jack trying to explain why that doesn't make sense. She just stares back at him and eventually he just gives her the full amount. While Liz watches the movie version of "Murder on the Orient Express" next to a framed picture of her and her new cat, Jenna walks in and tells her she's not going to let her wallow. She wants to take her out for a sexual rebound. Liz says she can't because she hast to edit a clip show with Tracy out of the country.Pete and Frank record a version of "It's Never Too Late for Now" in the studio. They begin to argue over whose name is listed first on the song title.Frank calls Liz to tell her he's terrified he made numerous negotiating mistakes in the deal with Sherry. He has no confidence he'll be able to be successful in the Kabletown meeting. Liz points out that what Sherry has going for her is the leverage Jack loves Liddy and needs her help. Jack's ploy is to pretend his hates his newborn daughter. The editor working with Liz has food poisoning and can't work. Jenna shows up and points out Liz has no excuse not to go to a club with her. Liz goes only on the condition she can leave if she doesn't like the place.Jack tells Sherry he doesn't care about Liddy and couldn't care less if she work there or not. Hells her to take a pay cut or leave. But as soon as Liddy starts crying and Sherry threatens to leave he caves: "Please stay. I'll send everyone in your family to college."Liz and Jenna arrive at the club, "Canal Yards Project." When Liz can't find her ID an attractive man shows up with it. He compliments her hair color and says his drinking her favorite drink, white win with ice and sprite. He makes a Star Wars reference.Pete is upset that his vocals have been mixed down on the recording of their song. He thinks Frank's female Yuki could be the reason. The man at the club, Anders, is planning to return to his hotel and make fun of a bad romantic comedy. When doesn't seem sure of going with him a fight breaks out and he helps her out a side exit. Liz says she's not sure what the universe is trying to tell her about men. He says "it's never too late for now" and they kiss.Frank tells Sherry she's killing his negotiating confidence. As he talks through the problem he realizes that there is a similarity to his Kabletown negotiation. NBC is like Kabletown's newborn baby.Cut to Jack sitting in the meeting and acting just like Sherry: Sitting quietly eating a nectarine while the Kabletown executive digs his own grave.Liz comes to the office and learns from Jack that his meeting was a "home run." She tells Jack about her one-night stand (first base) and thinks maybe she'll hold out hope for romance. At this point Liz notices Jack and the rest of the staff congratulating each other. She looks at the copy of "Murder on the Orient Express" and says "gasp."In Agatha Christie-style Liz tells the staff there is a complex explanation for how her evening came off so perfectly. We are shown that everything from the food poisoning, to the misplaced license, to the club fight, to the club itself (the name of the club is an anagram for Tracy Jordan's Place has been put together by the staff. The final straw for her was Anders using the title of Frank and Pete's song. Jack basically confesses, saying that Anders "certainly wasn't a Swiss prostitute that Martha Stewart recommended." But despite this information Liz says she's going to believe a more simple explanation for the night and says goodbye to spinsterhood.

Open with Liz meeting with Jack and Hank Hooper about TGS' plummeting ratings. Despite the show being one shy of 100 episodes, Hooper wants to cancel TGS. Jack makes a plea to save the series, pointing out that Tracy has returned. Hooper agrees to give the show one more chance. After Hooper leaves Liz tells Jack about Tracy feeling too respected and promises she will work on getting him back. Her plan is for him to act like a jerk on the morning shows. After rehearsal Kenneth reminds Jenna that after the first TGS episode she told him if the show went 100 episodes she'd have his baby. Kenneth isn't interested in her having his baby, but does think she'd be a good mother. Jenna seems intrigued by the possibility of being a mother when it's pointed out the attention that comes with pregnancy. Liz tells the cast if they don't get Tracy back and have a great show the show will be cancelled. Frank thinks there's no chance if they have to rely on Tracy. Liz sees a strange blue blob.Cut to the boiler room where on his last day before retirement maintenance guy Tom (Michal Keaton) has spotted a gas leak headed to TGS' sixth floor.Tom goes to see Jack, who is clearly paranoid that too much of his career centers around TGS. Tom says the sixth floor must be evacuated, telling Jack the gas could lead to hallucination, revolution of secrets, flashbacks, nostalgia or even death.Liz talks to the blue blob about how much simpler her life was when she first started TGS, mentioning missing old boyfriend Dennis.Tracy acts like a complete jerk on "Rachael Ray," "Live with Regis & Kelly" and "Today." For various reasons it doesn't work and the hosts seem to like Tracy even more. With TGS working on the show outside 30 Rock, Tracy calls Liz in a panic. He wants to give up. She suggests he "take it to the streets" -- try and get the general public to hate him and see if the media will follow. Jenna tells Liz she thinks pregnancy will be a great career move. While trying to fix the gas leak Tom accidentally punctures a hole in the air vent leading to Jack's floor. We see a hallucinating Jack visited by "Sideways Jack Donaghy," who is a version of himself with a much more impressive career: he owns a professional football team, guest starred on Entourage, was featured on the cover of Meetings Magazine, etc. Sideways Jack points out that Jack has spent far more time in GE's TV division than he originally planned, and now instead of running GE, he works for Kabletown. He tells Jack that Liz has been his problem. Tom stops by and tells Jack he needs to evacuate.Tracy is unable to offend average citizens and even ends up saving a man's life.Jack comes outside and Liz asks him to get his celebrity friends to appear on the next TGS. Referencing Sideways Jack, Jack tells Liz she's been holding him back. Liz counters that Jack has been dragging her down. We flashback to the fact Jack almost fired Liz when Tracy was brought in to help TGS.Jenna meets with ex-boyfriend Paul. She tells him Kenneth thinks she'd make a good mother and points out it would be good for her career. Paul thinks Kenneth might be the only person on Earth who thinks that would be a good idea.Liz is stunned when Dennis shows up at 30 Rock. He plays her a voice mail message she left him, asking him to come back. Liz tells him she called when she was high on the gas leak, but that doesn't seem to deter him. He's going to try and get her back. Employees are told they can return to the building.Tracy calls Liz to say he can't get anyone mad at him. He's ready to give up. Her plan is to take him to a strip club. Unfortunately, all the strippers were moved by Tracy's movie. After a few minutes they are all sitting around a table talking about their feelings. The strip club plan fails miserably.Jenna tries to trap Kenneth in her office and get him to have sex with her. He runs off.Tracy comes back to grab some of his stuff and tells Jenna he's quitting show business. She tell him the show needs him. The conversation turns to the fact the only celebrities that completely destroy their goodwill are the murderers. "It would take a pretty big gas leak to think that was a good idea," Jenna says.Dennis waits for Liz in her office. Because of a childhood accident, gas does not have any effect on Dennis. He tries to convince her they should get together but Liz kicks him out.Cut to Dennis intentionally breaking the pipe and creating a new gas leak.Jack is visited by a new hallucination, Past Jack. Sideways Jack shows up and tells Jack there is still time to fix his career if he fires Liz. "Go get rid of that woman," Sideways says.Jenna's belly is growing. She's having a hysterical pregnancy. With the gas flowing, the cast is starting to get a little goofy. Gassed-up Kenneth suggests Tracy shoot him on the roof in order to help get his career back.Dennis tries to trick gassed-up Liz into letting him move back in by signing a lease. On the elevator Jack runs into Future Jack. Future Jack tells Jack he's happy in the future and he shouldn't listen to the other Jacks. "Business is only a part of life," Future Jack says. Future Jack tells Jack about Liz and Dennis and the lease. Sideways Jack still wants him to fire Liz.Downstairs, Jack saves Liz and chases Dennis off. Tom shows up and tells them about the gas line sabotage. They realize it was Dennis and he is taken away. Liz tells them about Kenneth and Tracy going to the roof with a gun. Jenna tells them about the idea regarding murderers she discussed with Tracy. On the way up to the roof they run into Hooper. He mentions offering Jenna a talk show down the road and her hysterical pregnancy belly disappears instantly. Before Tracy can shoot Kenneth, the rest of the gang reaches them. When Jack realizes what Tracy is trying to do, he tells him that if he wants to no longer be taken seriously all he needs to do is go back to TGS. Jack says that even if you walked away from a blockbuster film franchise, worked with Meryl Streep and Anthony Hopkins, and made movies about important subjects like civil rights and Pearl Harbor (all of which Alec Baldwin did in real life), if you appear on a TV show it will all be over, regardless of your past film and theater successes. With five minutes to go before TGS taping begins, they rush to the studio. On their way to the stairs, Jack accidentally shoots Tom. With the elevator out, they run down the stairs, eventually appearing on TGS' stage moments before the show. Liz sees that since the writers put the show together while gassed up, there is nothing on the cue cards. They don't have a show. With Hooper sitting in the audience Liz decides to let gas back into the room. The stoned crowd loves the show and Hooper agrees to let TGS continue. We see Tom Hanks at home watching TGS. When he sees Tracy is back, he grabs his red phone and calls George Clooney. Tracy is immediately removed from the Official A-List.Jack and Liz make up. They both think they are better off for knowing each other.

Open with Liz seeing Dr. Spaceman about cold sores she's been dealing with. She gets them when she's stressed - while Spaceman gets them from prostitutes. But Liz says she'll take care of her problems soon enough when she gets away for the summer. She wants only to relax outdoors, wear shapeless clothing, learn Spanish and do some mindless activity like gardening.Jack tells Liz he's tired of the pity tone he's been getting from everybody since Avery was kidnapped by Kim Jong-il. He's having trouble sleeping and misses the little things about Avery: the two of them kicking hippies' hackysacks into the bushes on warm days, for example. To help him feel normal she starts being a bummer.Liz says goodbye to Jenna for the summer. Jenna has become the new celebrity spokesperson for the Wool Council, meaning she can finally get the time share she wants with Paul in Amsterdam's "premier sex garden."The writers are still in the office. None of them have any summer plans and they are playing their 18th straight hour of video games. Liz tells them how excited she is for the summer and daydreams about what it will be like: She is in her garden eating fresh tomatoes. Her neighbor Ina Garten (the Barefoot Contessa) invites her over for bruschetta and white wine. Her last order of business is to pay a hate crime fee for cutting the branches off the tree in front of her apartment - the city said the tree was Jewish. The Wool Commission tells Jenna she has a morality clause in her new contract. They are worried about her relationship with Paul. She thinks if they meet Paul they won't have any concerns. She sings a quasi-disturbing song about sheep and wool. The plan is for the chairman of the council to bring his wife to dinner at Jenna's house the following night. He emphasizes the evening better be "normal."Kenneth tells Jack that the tradition of his people is to help friends when they are in need. He has brought Jack a home cooked meat. Kenneth sits in the seat Avery usually occupies and Jack points out "you two have similarly-shaped buttocks." Jack stares intently at Kenneth as he says a blessing. While Liz sits in her backyard enjoying wine and listening to a learn-spanish tape, a golf ball shatters her patio table. It is Tracy, who has just bought everything around her home. Liz is upset that this will ruin what she had hoped would be a normal summer. When Jack asks Kenneth to come by for dinner again the following night he turns him down. He has to work that night, getting started on spring cleaning for the new office.Paul - dressed in full Jenna garb - tells her he's bought a new leash for when he walks in the park like a dog. She mentions needing to change their public persona and tell him that night Eugene Grimby from the Wool Council will be coming over for dinner. She suggests he change clothes and Paul bristles. He angrily says he'll have to cancel the sitter. "I'll tell him he won't need to come sit on us after all."Kenneth finds an angry Jonathan (and his family) doing his cleaning. Jack says he "volunteered" to do Kenneth's work so he would be free to come over again.Tracy is having a crazy party and Liz is frustrated she'll have to live next to him all summer. Tracy references the next and season and basically guilts Liz into feeling like she has to stay their to keep him happy.Jack stares at Kenneth and accidentally calls him Avery. He hasn't slept in days and asks Kenneth to put on a pair of earrings. Jack is trying to replace Avery with Kenneth and Kenneth is getting nervous.A conservatively-dressed Paul tells Grimby he's "in the restaurant business," adding "I really, really love golf-playing." Paul compliments Mrs. Grimby's blouse (the one Paul had on earlier) and Grimby makes a comment about how "wool" the dinner has been thus far. At this point a barded midget in a court jester outfit bursts through the front door and says "greetings, slaves. who's ready to get sat on?" Paul pretends it was a mistake and sends the sitter away. Grimby stands up and compliments Paul on how he handled that "pervert."Jack forces Kenneth to sleep in his bed with him.Liz comes back to the office to find the writers still playing the video game. The way the writes have been blowing themselves up in the game and re-spawning so it never ends gives her an idea.Cut to Liz refusing to pay the fine. She tells the judge the fine is shame and rattles off a bunch of legal cliches from movies. He gives her 12 weeks of community service: "You'll spend your whole summer picking up trash." Liz yells "Freedom!"Kenneth wake up to find his clothes have been taken. He's wearing one of Avery's robes and Jack asks him to put on her perfume and join him in throwing pennies at hippies. Kenneth tells him he snaps out of it. Jack wonders if God is punishing him "because my hair is better than yours." Kenneth then does an Avery impersonation and scolds him for being pathetic and not spending more time with daughter. Jack says "I get it" and gives Kenneth back his clothes. He's taking his daughter to work with him that day.Grimby walks up behind what he thinks is Jenna and runs his finger down "her" back. But Paul turns out to reveal he is wearing a dress and we see Jenna dressed up like a man, wearing a full fake beard. She says "this is what we think of your morality clause" and the two kiss. Grimby is disgusted.Jack finds Liz in the park working a chain gang. She says she having her dream summer after all: Working outside, comfortable clothes, mindless task and learning Spanish from the guards. Jenna walks by wearing a dog outfit while Paul walks her. Tracy shows up with his golf club, having hit a ball on a truck: "Tracy Jordan doesn't not take mulligans."We see Kenneth watching all of them through a telescope. He says "Yes, I know. I just need more time with them. Give me more time, Jacob! I beg of you!"To Be Continued . . .

Open with an episode of "America's Kidz Got Singing." Judges D'Fwan and John McEnroe love the first kid, while Jenna hates him.
Jack and Liz spot the show on a TV in a window and he tells her how popular "Kidz" has been for the network. Jack enjoyed time with his daughter over the holiday. Tina doesn't think Jack knows her as well as he thinks he does.
Kenneth's Reverend Gary has told him that the world is ending the next day. He's happy because he's going to heaven. Tina tells him to enjoy his final day.
Jenna tells Liz that because of her time on "Kidz" she's "blowing up." Tracy is super-jealous of her new success, but Liz decides not to coddle him. Jack has enrolled Liz in a website called Desperationships.com.
At the next taping of "Kidz," Liddy rips into a little girl who has the same first name as Jack's daughter (Liddy). Jack yells at Jenna to leave her alone. While Jenna gives her catchphrase "Go jump back up your mother," Jack seems very upset.
Given the option to do whatever he wants, Kenneth is choosing to finish his "dream chores." Frank mentions seeing "flaming horses" outside, which Gary said was one of the signs of the apocalypse.
Tracy wants Liz to pay attention to him or else he's going to do something incredibly self-destructive. She continues to ignore him, even saying she plans to leave early that day. Tracy has no idea what's happening.
Despite the high ratings, Jack talks to Jenna about her on-screen persona. He wants her to be nice to the kids. Everybody hates her, but she tells Jack "they love to hate me." He asks her to ease up on the kids and Jenna is confused.
After Kenneth cheers up Liz (another thing on his list), Pete wants to know why he isn't experiencing some legitimate things -- flying in a plane, seeing the ocean, falling in love, etc.
Tracy asks Jenna about Liz acting so weird. He needs to get her focus back on him. Jenna suggests he follow Liz to see what's going on.
At the next "Kidz" taping Jenna is nice to the singers. D'Fwan tells Jack he's messing up a good thing. Jack changes his mind and takes Jenna off the leash.
The next day Kenneth is at work with a "RAPTURE" t-shirt on.
At the next taping Jenna is particularly brutal.
Jack brings Liddy into his office and tries to explain to her why he's allowing "Kidz" to be on the air. He starts to feel bad and reaches for the phone to cancel the show. The baby touches his hand and says "mommy," followed by "I want mommy." He hears it as "money" and doesn't cancel the show.
At the end of the day the world hasn't ended. Pete stops the writers from making fun of Kenneth.
Tracy tells Jack that based on how happy Liz has been, she must be a crack whore. He found a pill he thinks is drugs, but Jack recognizes it as something for joint pain. Based on the pill and Liz spending time near Madison Square Garden Jack has an idea. He mentions Liz' jazz-dance background.
Jack and Tracy sit in the stands of a WNBA game and see that Liz is part of jazz dance team the "Timeless Torches."
Kenneth is taken to see the ocean.
Jack takes the supremely happy Liz home. He drops her off at the movies and sees her kiss somebody we can't see.
