His wife is played by Laura Dern, who.s beautiful and determined in her supporting role. Also in the film is Michael Chiklis, who lays aside all of those tough guy roles he.s been doing for the last few years to play, well, a tough guy with heart. And then there are these amazing kids who play the members of the football team. The actions scenes from the field are completely believable, and the transformation that you see in the eyes of the young actors, in particular Alexander Ludwig as running back Chris Ryan, is as compelling as film gets.
